  • Temporary Siphon Drain

    by Carla Whitmire | Aug 03, 2012

Jerry T. Whitmire Grading has worked on numerous lake and dam projects in Brevard, NC

A crew with Whitmire Grading has just installed a 6 inch temporary siphon drain to lower the water level in a lake before repairs to meet dam safety requirements can be made. Due to concerns about the integrity of the existing drainage structure on this lake, just outside of Brevard ,NC, we chose to install a temporary siphon drain instead of using pumps to lower the water level saving the property owners association the expense of pumping.
