  • WNC Farmers Market Storm Drainage Replacement

    One of our current projects is replacing 782 linear feet of existing metal culvert at the WNC Farmers Market in Asheville, North Carolina. Over the years Jerry T. Whitmire Grading has worked on numerous private and commercial projects in Asheville and Buncombe county.

    Crews are in the final stages of completing the storm drainage replacement project that we have been working on at the WNC Farmers Market located in Asheville, N.C.. The project consist of replacing 782 linear feet of 30 and 36 inch metal culvert, that had deteriorated over the years, with high density plastic culvert.

  • Water Meter and RPZ Installation

    tWhitmire Grading is very well versed in water utility construction in the Bumcombe, Henderson, Transylvania county water authorities.

    WNC Agriculture Center utility master water meter installation with backflow prevention near Asheville Regional airport.

    This concrete pad will have a heated housing over it to prevent freezing.

    Following 9-11, it became state standards to use these type of systems to protect our city water supply from creating a wide-spread attack with something like anthrax.

    These type of systems protect the city water supply from contaminants in a building's sprinkler fire protection system.

  • Erosion Control Installation

    Whitmire Grading placing erosion control blankets on 60 ft high slope in Lake Toxaway, NC (western NC).

    This is a site in Lake Toxaway, NC, where we had to Rappel down the side of a 60' high slope to install erosion blankets.
